More than five months have passed since then, and there is still no official clarity on the film&#8217;s release date. <\/p>\n<p>The makers had earlier closed both theatrical and non-theatrical deals for the film. However, latest reports suggested that the non-theatrical agreement has been cancelled. According to the latest buzz in Tamil media, Vijay has asked the makers to cancel all existing theatrical agreements and refund the distributors. <\/p>\n<p>He has reportedly advised producer KVN Productions to retain the theatrical rights and release the film independently once a release date is finalized. Jana Nayagan is a social drama directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions.
