Peddi’s June 4 release puts Mahesh Babu-backed Rao Bahadur in jeopardy

Psychological drama Rao Bahadur, headlined by Satyadev, turned heads with its intriguing teaser and unique content. The makers assure that the film will raise the bar in Telugu cinema with its out-of-the-box concept. There is genuinely a good level of interest among movie buffs for this Venkatesh Maha’s directorial. Recently, it was announced that the film will be released on June 5.

At the time of the announcement, the Rao Bahadur makers were completely unaware that Ram Charan’s Peddi would take up the same slot. Now the release of Rao Bahadur on June 5 is uncertain since small and mid-budget films generally won’t take the risk of clashing with tentpole projects like Peddi.

Will Rao Bahadur postpone now? If yes, what window will the makers choose? Or, will the makers still stick to the June 5 plan? Cinephiles are waiting for answers to these questions now. Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment is presenting this flick, while it is produced jointly by Sri Chakraa Entertainments, A+S Movies, and Mahayana Motion Pictures.
The film features Deepa Thomas as the female lead. Vikas Muppala, Bala Parasar, Anand Bharathi, Pranay Vaka, Kunal Kaushik, and Master Kiran play supporting roles.
