The psychological romantic thriller Ugly Story, starring Avika Gor and Shree Nandu, is making a swift transition to digital streaming. Directed by Pranav Swaroop, the Telugu film originally arrived in theatres on May 22, 2026. Following its theatrical run, the digital platform Aha announced that the movie will be available on its platform starting tomorrow, June 5, 2026.
This rapid release marks a gap of exactly two weeks between the film’s theatrical debut and its OTT arrival. This incredibly short window reflects a growing trend of accelerated digital premieres for films that struggle to connect with audiences in cinema halls. A similar pattern was observed recently with the digital premiere of Lavanya Tripathi Konidela’s Sathi Leelavathi, which hit streaming platforms in a record-breaking 12 days.
Surprisingly, Aha will be streaming Ugly Story not only in its original Telugu version but also with a Tamil dub. The film features supporting performances from Shivaji Raja and Raviteja Mahadasyam. It was produced under the Riya Jiya Productions banner, with Shravan Bharadwaj handling the musical score.
