Sai Pallavi is set to make her Bollywood debut with the film Ek Din, ahead of her appearance in Ramayana. She stars alongside Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan. The film is directed by Sunil Pandey and produced under Aamir Khan Productions. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on May 1, 2026.

As part of the promotions, a special event titled “Ek Din ki Mehfil” was held at SNDT College in Mumbai. The event was designed as a live music concert, offering audiences a glimpse into the film’s emotional and soulful soundtrack. It was attended by the lead actors Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan, along with producer Aamir Khan and music composer Ram Sampath.

During the event, Aamir Khan was visibly emotional and shed tears while watching his son Junaid’s performance from the film. Sai Pallavi was seen consoling him. Later, while speaking on stage, Aamir praised Sai Pallavi and called her the best actress in the country right now.

The appreciation comes at a time when Sai Pallavi continues to deliver strong performances and consistent successes. With Ek Din and her upcoming role in Ramayana, she is expected to win over Bollywood audiences as well.

Ek Din is an official Indian remake of the 2016 Thai film One Day. The story revolves around an emotional and unconventional love story. Sai Pallavi plays Meera, a cheerful and lively character, while Junaid Khan portrays Dino, a socially awkward and reserved man. Their lives cross paths during a trip to Japan, where a major portion of the film was shot, including scenes set against the backdrop of the Sapporo Snow Festival.

The Telugu promotional content has also been released, and it remains to be seen whether the film will have a simultaneous Telugu release.

The release of Ram Charan’s sports drama Peddi has been locked for June 25, 2026, setting up a direct box office clash with Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin, scheduled just a day later.

This development puts immediate pressure on Lenin, which had already shifted from its original May release to avoid competition, only to now face a bigger challenge. The situation has sparked strong industry speculation about another possible delay.

The primary concern for Lenin is the stark difference in scale and star power, which could significantly impact its screen count and box office potential if it releases alongside Peddi. While the film is in its final stages and aiming to wrap up shooting soon, producer Naga Vamsi has yet to confirm if the June 26 date will hold. If the team opts for a solo window, a move to July appears likely.

Bhagyashri Borse stars as the female lead in Lenin, which is being positioned as an intense action romance. Despite steady production progress and ongoing promotions, Peddi’s release has forced the makers to rethink their strategy.

The industry now awaits an official word from Sithara Entertainments on whether the clash will proceed or if Lenin will shift to a safer release window.

Karuppu

Suriya’s Karuppu is one of the most interesting films set to release in Kollywood this May. The movie held its audio launch event last night, where director RJ Balaji addressed the reason behind the missing release date on its posters.

He explained that the team has deliberately avoided mentioning the release date in their promotional material. According to him, including the date could invite issues from the censor board. He also confirmed that the film is gearing up for a May 14, 2026 release, asking audiences to get ready for the fireworks.

This decision is in line with the latest CBFC guidelines, which state that a film should not display its release date until the censorship process is completed. As a result, the makers have kept the date off both offline and online posters.

Karuppu stars Trisha as the female lead, alongside Yogi Babu, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, and Sshivada in key roles. The film is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, with music composed by Sai Abhyankkar.
