The Mirzapur story is now making the jump from the small screen to the big screen with Mirzapur: The Movie. The much-awaited crime action drama is gearing up for a theatrical release on September 4, 2026, including in Telugu. With the popular streaming franchise making its cinema debut, expectations are naturally high.

The film has now become a talking point over its CBFC certification and mandated cuts. As expected, Mirzapur: The Movie has received an ‘A’ certificate, with the censor board ordering a total reduction of 35 seconds across two intimate scenes in the first and second halves.

Several cuss words, abusive expressions and dialogue terms have also been muted or replaced, while a caste reference was modified. Interestingly, the violent and gory portions have been left untouched. Despite the cuts, the certified theatrical version has a lengthy runtime of 197 minutes and 19 seconds – 3 hours, 17 minutes and 19 seconds.

Helmed by Gurmeet Singh and backed by Excel Entertainment in association with Amazon MGM Studios, the film features Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Rasika Dugal and Shweta Tripathi Sharma in key roles. The latest update reveals that Don’t Trouble The Trouble will arrive in cinemas on October 2, 2026. With this announcement, it is certain that Venkatesh and Trivikram’s Aadarsha Kutumbam is moving to a later date.

Yash’s ambitious film Toxic took a glorious opening at the box office, but the biggie kept nose-diving from its second day as the content didn’t meet expectations. The gangster action drama is directed by Geetu Mohandas.

As per trade estimates, Toxic earned in the vicinity of Rs. 275 crores – 280 crores gross in its five-day extended weekend globally. Given its mammoth target and huge stakes involved, the numbers are definitely not encouraging.

The Hindi version opened superbly, but due to bad reviews and word of mouth, even it dropped considerably with each passing day. The other dubbed versions failed to leave a mark as well. The overseas performance is even more concerning.
