Naga Chaitanya says his involvement with Annapurna Studios goes far beyond acting, as he has been actively contributing to the studio’s technological growth.

Speaking about his role, Chaitanya revealed in an interview with Variety India that he stepped in around seven to eight years ago when his father wanted to build a world-class sound mixing facility at the studio.

According to Chay, the goal was to create a state-of-the-art setup capable of achieving Dolby premiere certification standards which are worldclass.

Chaitanya shared that he continues to remain deeply involved in upgrading Annapurna Studios’ post-production ecosystem by exploring the right collaborations and constantly improving technology.

At the release date announcement press meet of Peddi, star director Sukumar made an interesting comment about Ram Charan’s portrayal in the film. Sukumar feels that Charan’s performance in Buchi Babu Sana’s directorial is the actor’s career-best, even surpassing the all-time great Rangasthalam.

“Ram Charan’s energy in Rai Rai Raa Raa is on the next level, even dominating the visuals. His performance in Peddi will be a new benchmark, and it is even more captivating than my Rangasthalam,” said Sukumar.

Even cinematographer Ratnavelu opined that Peddi will be equally good as Rangasthalam, and that every aspect of the film has come out solid. Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead, and AR Rahman is the music composer. Peddi releases in cinemas on June 4.

Ravi Babu recently shared an interesting memory involving legendary media baron Ramoji Rao and his film Nacchavule, which was a smash hit.

Speaking in an interview, Ravi Babu revealed that Ramoji Rao once jokingly told him, “You made a film for RFC, you shot the film in RFC, but you never actually showed RFC on screen.”

The director then explained how creatively the film was made on a limited scale. According to Ravi Babu, the entire film was shot on sets erected within just 100 yards of space at Ramoji Film City.

Surprisingly, the compact setup was used to shoot nearly 70 to 80 scenes along with four songs. His revelation impressed many film lovers, highlighting how effective planning and smart filmmaking can create an engaging cinematic world even with limited space and resources.

Ek Din, starring Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan, hit theatres today amid limited buzz. The romantic drama has opened to mixed reviews from audiences and critics, with many feeling the film lacks strong promotional momentum.

Trade circles report that occupancy on the opening day has been quite low, and the film is expected to post weak box office numbers initially.

From the beginning, Ek Din struggled to generate solid hype despite carrying a fresh pairing and emotional storyline. Many observers also feel that Aamir Khan, who backed the project, did not actively push the film into the spotlight through aggressive promotions or innovative marketing campaigns.

As a result, awareness among general audiences reportedly remained limited even before release. The coming weekend will now be crucial for Ek Din, as positive word-of-mouth could still help the film gain momentum.

At the age of 94, Telugu cinema’s legendary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao has returned to direction, and the project has generated interest among the audience, unsurprisingly. Produced by Nag Ashwin, the film has been titled Sing Geetham, and its title has been unveiled today along with the release date.

Sing Geetham hits the big screens on June 11, 2026. Throughout his career, Singeetam Srinivasa Rao has crafted unique films with interesting themes, and Sing Geetham looks no different going by the teaser. It is a musical fantasy entertainer blending fantasy elements.

Set against the backdrop of a mysterious village, Sing Geetham revolves around the story of a young man named Pratap. As he strives to find opportunities, his life takes an unexpected turn. He steps into a world where not everything is as it seems. Caught in a conflict between development and preservation, he is forced to question his decisions, beliefs, and goals.

The teaser hints at some chaos unfolding in the mysterious village. Just through magical visuals and soothing music, Singeetam Srinivasa Rao instantly piques our interest and draws us into the world of Sing Geetham. If a teaser manages to hold our attention without revealing much about the plot, that is indeed the director’s brilliance.

The young lead cast, Ayaan, Ahalya Bamroo, and Shalini Kondepudi, look impressive in their respective roles. Singeetam’s signature style of blending fantasy with humor once again stands out.

Technically, the film is strong as well. Ankur C’s cinematography is visually appealing, while Devi Sri Prasad’s music creates a fresh mood for the story. The world crafted by art director Aravind Mule adds depth to the narrative, and the production values are of a high standard. Sivannarayana, Tulasi, Banerjee, and Agu Stanley play other key roles.

Jio Studios, the banner that backed the mighty Dhurandhar franchise, will distribute Ram Charan’s Peddi in North India. At the release date press meet, makers stated that Peddi will have a wide release in the Hindi belt on June 4 with Jio Studios presenting the sports action drama.

Ram Charan is quite popular among the Hindi audiences, and his scintillating performance in RRR as Alluri Seetharama Raju left them awestruck. The Peddi team believes that the film’s content will resonate among audiences across languages.
