September 4 is clearly the busiest day of the week, with multiple films and series arriving across Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar and Sun NXT. From Gandhari and Dhamaal 4 to Korean Kanakaraju and the dubbed Tamil releases, viewers have plenty to choose from across languages and genres.

As always, streaming platforms could add a few more titles to their catalogues at the last minute. So, keep an eye out for any surprise additions to this week’s OTT lineup.

Dhamaal 4, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, is back in the spotlight as its OTT release date has been locked. The fun-filled comedy entertainer, directed by Indra Kumar, emerged as the highest-grossing film in the franchise.

The successful film is all set to strike Netflix on September 4, 2026. Released in theatres on July 10, 2026, the movie is making its OTT debut after completing eight weeks of its theatrical run. It remains to be seen how the film will be received by home audiences on the streaming platform.

Dhamaal 4 is produced by Indra Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Anand Pandit, and Kumar Mangat Pathak.

It stars Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Esha Gupta, and Vijay Patkar in key roles.

Mega Prince Varun Tej scored a recent hit with Korean Kanakaraju, the horror comedy directed by Merlapaka Gandhi. The film, which stars Ritika Nayak and Satya in key roles, enjoyed a decent theatrical run and is now gearing up for its digital premiere.

According to the Netflix app catalogue, Korean Kanakaraju is set to premiere on September 4, 2026. However, it remains to be seen whether the film will be available in multiple languages, as an official announcement from the makers and the OTT platform is still awaited.

Produced by UV Creations in association with First Frame Entertainments, the film has music by Thaman S. With Korean Kanakaraju heading to Netflix, it will be interesting to see how the horror comedy fares with a wider audience on the streaming platform.

ZEE5 is stepping up its focus on the Telugu market with a new and extensive content lineup featuring a mix of upcoming films, original series, returning shows, dubbed titles and other entertainment offerings.

The platform’s latest slate reflects its focus on regional storytelling, bringing together established production houses, popular franchises and fresh concepts aimed at catering to the evolving tastes of Telugu audiences.

As part of the new lineup, ZEE5 has partnered with leading production banners including Vyjayanthi Movies, Sukumar Writings, Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra (SVCC), Prime Show Entertainment, Shine Screens, Vriddhi Cinemas, Manam Enterprises LLP, Birla Studios, Temple Town Pictures, Udaya Bhanu Productions and Sri Chakra Movies LLP.

The Originals lineup includes Shrimathi, starring Nivetha Thomas, and Panchanama, featuring Bharath Niwas and Sivaji Raja. The popular show Jayammu Nishchayammu Ra 2, hosted by Jagapathi Babu, is also set to return with a new season.

The platform has lined up several notable Telugu films as part of its cinema offering. These include Lenin, directed by Murali Kishore Abburu and starring Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse; NBK111, directed by Gopichand Malineni and starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Kajal Aggarwal; January 12 Vidudhala, directed by Anil Ravipudi and starring Venkatesh Daggubati and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram; Vrushakarma, directed by Karthik Varma Dandu and starring Chaitanya Akkineni and Meenakshi Chaudhary; and Kanaka Durga, directed by Pradeep Maddali and starring Allari Naresh and Kajal Choudhary.

Alongside its Telugu films, ZEE5 is also adding dubbed titles to its library. The catalogue includes Jananayagan, Hi, Demonte Colony 2, A Queen and Veerappan 2.

ZEE5 is also expanding beyond conventional films and series by introducing AI-powered storytelling. Its upcoming titles in this space include Garuda, Vikram Vetal, Shiv Sati, Chandrakanta, Tirupati Balaji, Narmada and Ram Anjanay Yudh.

The platform’s upcoming entertainment offerings also include kids’ titles Barbarik and Kundaka Mandakka, while its live sports portfolio continues to grow with FIFA, Bundesliga, Coppa Italia and ILT20.

With films, Originals, dubbed content, AI-powered stories, kids’ programming and live sports, ZEE5 is looking to offer Telugu audiences a wider variety of entertainment across genres and formats.

Bigg Boss Telugu 10 is all set to kick off on September 6, 2026. Actor Krishnudu, who won hearts with memorable roles in films like Pokiri, Happy Days, Vinayakudu and Village Lo Vinayakudu, will grace the show.

While the makers are yet to officially confirm the contestant list, Krishnudu’s name is among the most talked-about celebrities rumored to enter the house this season.

Known for his natural acting and comedy timing, Krishnudu enjoyed a successful run as both a character artist and lead actor in Telugu cinema.

DC marks the acting debut of sensational filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. The action drama directed by Arun Matheswaran sprung one of the biggest surprises in Tamil cinema this year by earning over Rs. 100 crores gross worldwide.

The latest update reveals that DC will start streaming from September 4 in the digital space. Sun NXT holds the post-theatrical streaming rights. There are also reports suggesting that the movie could premiere on Prime Video simultaneously.

DC will be available in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages from the said date. Wamiqa Gabbi played the female lead, while Sanjana Krishnamoorthy appeared in a vital role. Backed by Sun Pictures, the film features music by Anirudh.

The Hindi action spy thriller Alpha is now streaming on Netflix, nearly two months after its theatrical release on July 3, 2026. Starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead roles, the film also features Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, with Hrithik Roshan making a cameo. It is the first female led film in the YRF Spy Universe.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha follows Sita, played by Alia Bhatt, a highly trained R&AW agent who becomes entangled in a dangerous programme involving a powerful serum. Sharvari plays Durga Kaul, Sita’s estranged twin, while Bobby Deol portrays the antagonist Colonel Fateh Singh Lakhawat.

Produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, Alpha is the seventh instalment of the YRF Spy Universe, following Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3 and War 2. The film expands the franchise with two female agents at its centre while retaining its signature espionage and action elements.

After an underwhelming theatrical performance, Alpha now gets a second opportunity to connect with audiences on streaming. The film is available on Netflix in Hindi with English subtitles, giving viewers who missed its theatrical release a chance to experience the latest chapter of the YRF Spy Universe from home.

The Telugu crime action drama KJQ: King Jackie Queen hit theatres on August 7, 2026, but failed to make much of an impact at the box office. The film stars Deekshith Shetty and Yukti Thareja in key roles alongside debutant Shashi Odela, brother of The Paradise director Srikanth Odela.

Just three weeks after its theatrical release, the action drama premiered digitally on Amazon Prime Video today. While it was released only in Telugu in theatres, the OTT version also offers Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam audio, expanding its reach beyond Telugu speaking audiences.

Set against the gritty backdrop of the 1990s, the story follows three central characters caught in a web of crime, power, and personal conflict. The film was directed by late filmmaker KK (Kiran Kumar), who passed away before seeing his final directorial venture reach the screen.

Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner, the production house behind Dasara and The Paradise, the film features a soundtrack by Poornachandra Tejaswi. With its digital release now underway, it remains to be seen whether KJQ can find redemption with streaming audiences or meet the same fate it did in theatres.

Akkineni Nagarjuna is gearing up for his milestone 110th film, and his fans are eagerly awaiting an update on the project ahead of his birthday on August 29, 2026.

Amid this anticipation, one of his films is set to leave Netflix soon. Manmadhudu 2, the 2019 romantic comedy and spiritual successor to Nagarjuna’s 2002 cult classic Manmadhudu, will exit the OTT platform on September 22, 2026. This gives audiences who may have missed the film another opportunity to watch it before it leaves Netflix.

Directed by Rahul Ravindran and produced by Annapurna Studios and Anandi Art Creations, Manmadhudu 2 stars Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead, with Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Keerthy Suresh appearing in cameo roles. Chaitan Bharadwaj composed the music.
