Naveen Polishetty is riding high on the success of Anaganaga Oka Raju, which turned out to be a solid hit and further strengthened his image as a bankable young star.

While fans are eagerly waiting to know about his next project, the latest buzz in film circles has grabbed attention. As per ongoing reports, Naveen is likely to collaborate with a newcomer that will be backed by Mythri Movie Makers.

The update is that the pre-production is on as of now and the shoot will begin early next year. This new combination has already sparked curiosity among fans. However, there is no official confirmation yet from the actor or the makers.

Looks like films with over three-hour runtimes have become the new norm for the latest Bollywood biggies. Riteish Deshmukh’s upcoming epic Raja Shivaji has locked a runtime of about 3 hours and 15 minutes, as per a report in Bollywood Hungama.

Animal, Dhurandhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and Border 2 were over three hours long, with the Dhurandhar series being an outlier. Now Raja Shivaji has joined this coveted list, and it remains to be seen if the historical action drama can replicate the magic of the films mentioned here.

The film featuring Riteish Deshmukh as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj also has Genelia Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Fardeen Khan, Bhagyashree, Sachin Khedekar, and others in key roles. Jio Studios produced it jointly with Riteish Deshmukh. The film releases on May 1.

Patriot marks the coming together of Mollywood stalwarts Mohanlal and Mammootty. Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara play key roles. The spy action thriller made on a whopping budget of Rs. 140 crores is carrying low hype among the audiences, and this came as a shock to the trade experts, who expected the film to enjoy insane pre-release hype.

The release has been pushed to May 1 from April 23. Somehow, there isn’t that level of excitement and anticipation among audiences that one usually expects from a star-studded project. The industry now hopes that the film turns out to be good and that the tables will turn post the release.

Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the film also features Kunchako Boban and Revathy in key roles. Anto Joseph and KG Anil Kumar produced it under the banners of Anto Joseph Film Company, Kichappus Entertainments, CR Saleem Productions, and Blue Tigers London.

Interacting with the attendees of CCXP Mexico 2026, Rajamouli said that Varanasi, headlined by Superstar Mahesh Babu, is his most ambitious film yet. He added that he always dreams big about his films.

Talking about Varanasi’s production design, Rajamouli stated, “India’s ancient temples and architectural brilliance have always fascinated me. For Varanasi, the palace sequences and the city’s majestic aura draw inspiration from the timeless glory of Kasi and our rich temple architecture.”

The biggie is set to hit the big screens on April 7, 2027. Priyanka Chopra plays the female lead, and Prithviraj Sukumaran essays the role of antagonist. KL Narayana of Sri Durga Arts is the producer. MM Keeravani is the music composer.

While promoting his new release, Jetlee, Ritesh Rana told audiences not to expect Mathu Vadhalara kind of comedy in the film. According to him, the fun element in the comedy thriller is purely driven by the character traits of the protagonist.

“Before it was a thriller-comedy, now it has become a comedy-thriller. The story didn’t change. A few elements were created to match Satya’s style. The male lead wakes up in the washroom, and someone would have hurt him by piercing a pen in his stomach. Who wanted to kill the hero and why? This forms the crux of the film,” said Ritesh Rana.

Miss Universe India 2024 Rhea Singha plays the female lead. Jetlee also stars Vennela Kishore, Ajay, Viva Harsha, and Kabir Duhan Singh in key roles. The film is produced by Chiranjeevi (Cherry) and Hemalatha Pedamallu under the Clap Entertainment banner and is presented by Mythri Movie Makers.

Satya and Ritesh Rana’s Jetlee is coming to cinemas on May 1. Miss Universe India 2024 Rhea Singha plays the female lead. The latest update reveals that the movie has wrapped up its censor formalities with a U/A certificate, meaning it can be enjoyed by family audiences.
