NTRNeel

NTRNeel

The new release date of NTR-Neel’s project was announced a few hours ago (June 11, 2027), and the latest reports indicate the full-blown action entertainer will have a second part as well. It is said that the sequel will hit the big screens in December 2027.

Until now, the makers haven’t revealed whether or not the biggie is a two-part saga, and we might get clarity on May 20 when the first glimpse drops for NTR’s birthday. Since the shoot is taking longer than expected, fans believe that there is a possibility of the second part.

Produced jointly by NTR Arts and Mythri Movie Makers, the film stars Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead. Initially, Tovino Thomas was roped in as the antagonist, but later he walked out due to scheduling conflicts. The casting is on for the villain role. Ravi Basrur is the music composer.

Peddi

Peddi

One of the primary reasons for the postponement of Peddi from its original April 30, 2026, release date is the filming of a special song. The Ram Charan starrer, a rural sports drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has now moved to a June 2026 release window.

A strong rumour suggested that actress Samyuktha was roped in to dance with Ram Charan in this song. However, as per the latest information, no one has been finalised by the team. Currently, the film unit is working on the “Rai Rai Ra Ra” song, with a small patchwork shoot underway at Ramoji Film City.

Peddi also features an ensemble cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani. The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, in collaboration with Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers, featuring a score by A.R. Rahman.

KGF-3

KGF-3

The KGF franchise created by Prashanth Neel catapulted Yash into superstardom. Recently, Yash clarified that the third part won’t happen anytime soon, as he is currently busy with Toxic and Ramayana.

He said, “We aren’t planning anything soon because I have Toxic and Ramayana lined up. Prashanth Neel and I keep talking. We need to come up with the right script. The movie will definitely happen.” For those who wanted KGF 3 to happen soon, this is slightly disappointing news.

Toxic, which was supposed to clash with Dhurandhar 2, has now shifted to June 4, while Ramayana: Part 1 will be released during Diwali 2026. Yash’s role will be more significant in Ramayana: Part 2, which releases next year.

Jailer-2

Jailer-2

A new picture from the shoot-wrap celebration of Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has caught fans’ attention for an unexpected reason. The snap from this celebration also featured Vasanth Ravi, whose character was killed in the first film’s climax. Unsurprisingly, this has raised discussions among cinephiles.

Vasanth Ravi played Rajinikanth’s son in the film, and Superstar himself kills him when he learns about his association with goons and dishonesty. Hence, his presence in the set makes the update all the more intriguing. There are two possibilities here. Either the movie might feature flashback scenes of Vasanth Ravi’s character, or there is a chance that he is not actually dead.

Even with a regular update, Nelson has successfully ignited interest among audiences in the sequel. Produced by Sun Pictures, there is also clarity around the release window. Anirudh is the music composer.

While Ram Charan fans are awaiting Peddi updates, director Buchi Babu Sana provided them some respite by posting a picture from the sets alongside the star actor.

Captioning the post, Buchi Babu wrote, “Final 6 days on Peddi sets. My most inspiring character…My beloved Peddi.” The photo has instantly started to make waves on social media. Ram Charan, who was earlier injured on the sets, is now looking completely hale and healthy with rejuvenated energy, a piece of cheerful news for fans.

Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru of Vriddhi Cinemas, the biggie stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. Slated to hit the big screens in June 2026, the sports action drama also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Sai Kumar, Divyyendu Sharma, and Boman Irani in key roles. AR Rahman is the music composer.

Odds favoring Peddi: It’s Ram Charan’s game to lose from here

For the third consecutive year, Tollywood has successfully wasted the potential of the summer season with no biggies lined up for release. Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s Peddi indeed wasted a golden date like April 30 due to pending work, leaving the summer window unexciting and dull for the exhibition sector.

Initially announced for release in March 2026, the release has been pushed to April due to a delay in production. Once again, the release window has been changed, and this time the wait will be long for fans, with the sports drama arriving only in June 2026. The makers cited post-production as the reason behind the second postponement.

Why multiple postponements are indeed a blessing in disguise for Peddi:

Generally, when a high-profile project is repeatedly postponed, there is a high chance the film will lose out on the audience’s interest and attention. This has happened with Ram Charan’s very own Game Changer, too. But with Peddi, things won’t be the same. This year, among the six Tollywood top-tier heroes, only Prabhas’ The Raja Saab has hit the screens, and even it was a massive failure.

When there is a significant period of non-activity in the industry with no release of top hero films, the craving among people for big-scale entertainment will hit a new peak, and this is the very reason why Peddi stands in a much-favorable position. In fact, Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam also benefited from the slump in the industry during 2018, but it will be unfair if we don’t credit its extraordinary content in the success.

The huge gap between the release windows of Peddi and The Raja Saab will surely bolster the openings of Ram Charan starrer by a mammoth margin. Peddi is one of the most-hyped projects from Tollywood, with every asset of Buchi Babu Sana’s directorial striking a chord with the audience. The association with AR Rahman, Janhvi Kapoor, Shiv Rajkumar, and Mirzapur fame Divvyendu Sharma are additional attractions.

It’s Peddi’s game to lose from here:

The odds are truly in favor of Ram Charan’s film. Apart from the special song, the shoot is done. Until and unless the Peddi team commits a huge blunder before release or if the content is not up to the mark, the movie is set to emerge as a box office phenomenon.

Emraan Hashmi’s much-awaited sequel, Awarapan 2, is scheduled to hit cinemas on August 14, during the Independence Day weekend, clashing with Sunny Deol’s Lahore 1947, produced by Aamir Khan. The patriotic film is slated to release a day before Awaparan 2, i.e., on August 13.

With two films targeting the same holiday window, the fight for screens and audience attention will start getting intense in the coming days. Independence Day releases traditionally bring strong footfalls at the Bollywood box office, but clashes like this often turn unpredictable, with content and buzz deciding the winner.

Awarapan, starring Emraan Hashmi and Shriya Saran, still enjoys a cult following among the audience. Ever since the second part was announced, the anticipation has been building steadily and strongly. The consistent increase in BookMyShow interests (now at 126K) indicates the kind of hype the movie carries.

Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Awarapan 2 is in the final stages of production. Disha Patani plays the female lead. Movie buffs are particularly interested in seeing how the story evolves and what new aspects will be added.

ENE Repeat is jointly produced by SS Originals and Suresh Productions. The film also features cameos from Anudeep KV and several notable personalities, with music composed by Vivek Sagar. The makers are targeting a release between September and October this year.

Mollywood’s coming-of-age drama Vaazha 2 emerged as a massive success, grossing over Rs. 200 crore and proving once again that content is king. The film is now set for its Telugu release on April 24, 2026.
