Mega Prince Varun Tej hit a painful roadblock while preparing for his next big project. The actor suffered a severe leg injury during an intense volleyball practice session for his upcoming film, Bhaari.

Following the accident, he was immediately rushed to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad. After assessing the injury, doctors advised a minor surgery, which is scheduled to take place today. The sudden news quickly spread online, leaving mega fans feeling anxious about their favorite star’s health.

Bhaari is shaping up to be a gritty rural sports drama, and Varun wasn’t taking any shortcuts with his preparation. To convincingly play a professional volleyball player, he’s been undergoing rigorous, specialized training over the last few days. Unfortunately, an awkward move during practice resulted in a heavy blow to his leg, forcing a sudden pause on his schedule.

Following the surgery, the actor will need a few weeks of total bed rest. Sources close to the production team confirmed he won’t step back onto the shooting floors until his leg is fully healed.

The movie, produced by his sister Niharika Konidela, recently had its formal launch event with Pawan Kalyan as the chief guest. While the injury is a temporary setback, industry insiders are already praising Varun’s heavy dedication to getting his character right. Meanwhile, social media is flooded with messages from fans, wishing him a quick and powerful return to the sets.

O Sundari from Rao Bahadur

O Sundari from Rao Bahadur

Following the positive response to its recent teaser, the makers of Rao Bahadur have officially started their musical promotions. They’ve just released the first single, “O Sundari,” a warm track that brings back the feel of vintage romance.

Venkatesh Maha directs the film, which stars Satya Dev and Deepa Thomas. Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar’s GMB Entertainment is presenting the project, joining forces with A+S Movies and SriChakraas Entertainments to back the bold Telugu story.

A Melodic Trip Back in Time

Music director Smaran Sai anchors “O Sundari” with soft instrumental arrangements that perfectly fit the movie’s old-school setting. Rehman wrote the lyrics to reflect the emotional bond between the lead pair, while Vijay Yesudas stepped in for the vocals. His smooth delivery gives the track a lingering, soulful feel.

The song’s visuals line up exactly with the audio. Cinematographer Kartik Parmar and production designer Rohan Singh worked together to create a detailed world that matches Maha’s storytelling style. Because of this, the on-screen moments between Satya Dev and Deepa Thomas look graceful and natural.

Beyond the lead pair, Rao Bahadur features a supporting cast that includes Vikas Muppala, Bala Parasar, Anand Bharathi, Pranay Vaka, and Master Kiran. Producers Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy, Anurag Reddy, and Sharath Chandra are currently steering the film as its promotional campaign ramps up. Right now, “O Sundari” is doing exactly what it needs to do—building quiet momentum and giving fans a track they’ll want to keep on replay.

Ramayana

Ramayana

Ramayana is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Indian films, designed to present the iconic epic on a global scale. The film recently made history by being showcased at CinemaCon 2026, marking the first time an Indian project has featured at the prestigious platform. Actor and co producer Yash attended the event along with producer Namit Malhotra and shared key insights about the film.

During an interaction with Hollywood media, Yash revealed a crucial detail about the narrative structure. He confirmed that there are no combination scenes between his character Ravana and Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Rama, in the first part.

“Ravana has his own kingdom, and Rama has his own. As you all know, it is a two part film,” Yash said. He also praised Ranbir Kapoor, calling him a fabulous actor.

This clarification suggests that the much awaited confrontation between Rama and Ravana will not take place in Part 1, which is scheduled for a Diwali 2026 release, and is likely being reserved for the second installment.

Sai Pallavi plays Sita, while the ensemble cast includes Sunny Deol, Vivek Oberoi, and Ravi Dubey in key roles. The film is backed by Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG, and co produced by Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. Music is composed by A R Rahman and Hans Zimmer, with screenplay by Shridhar Raghavan. Notably, Ramayana is also set to become the first Indian film to be shot for IMAX, signaling a major leap in scale and presentation.

The film world is buzzing after CinemaCon 2026, where two massive cinematic milestones officially entered a high-stakes collision course. Japan’s Godzilla Minus Zero and India’s Ramayana both debuted exclusive content, revealing that they are each their nation’s first films shot for IMAX. This shared technical ambition has created a sudden and intense competition for the world’s most premium theater screens.

The sequel to the Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One is set to roar into theaters on November 3, 2026, to celebrate “Godzilla Day.” By moving the action to New York City and utilizing the IMAX format, the Japanese production is positioned to dominate global screens throughout early November. This creates a massive roadblock for the Indian epic Ramayana, which was planned for a wide IMAX release during the Diwali window.

Producer Namit Malhotra faces a difficult challenge in securing enough IMAX screens for Ramayana against such a successful global franchise. Since Godzilla will likely hold onto these specialized screens for several weeks, the Indian epic’s goal of a “global celebration” is now under threat. Fans are now debating whether the makers will stand their ground or adjust their strategy to ensure the film gets the scale it deserves.

The next few days will be critical for the makers of Ramayana as they navigate this theatrical bottleneck. Balancing cultural significance with the commercial reality of a global blockbuster release requires a masterstroke of distribution. All eyes are now on how this “clash of the titans” will be resolved before the November deadline.
