Amid the postponement of the much-anticipated Malayalam film Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal, its OTT partner Amazon Prime Video has issued a strong warning to the makers against selling the film’s digital rights. The streamer released a public notice cautioning Aashirvad Cinemas and any other entity against any unauthorized dealings involving the film’s digital rights.

The official public notice read: “Notice is hereby given that Amazon Seller Services Private Limited (Amazon), pursuant to the valid exercise of its rights under subsisting agreements between Aashirvad Cinemas and Amazon, is the sole and exclusive holder of all digital rights (including but not limited to SVOD, TVOD, AVOD, FVOD and EST) in the film ‘Drishyam 3’ (Malayalam) (The Film).”

It also mentioned, “The public is hereby cautioned that Amazon holds these rights to the exclusion of all others, and Aashirvad Cinemas (including its assignees, licensees and any other person purportedly authorized by Aashirvad Cinemas) has no authority to sell, license, or in any manner create any third-party interest, lien, or charge over the digital rights for the Film. Any person, entity, or digital platform dealing with the Film or its digital rights in contravention of Amazon’s exclusivity shall do so at their own risk, cost, and consequences.”

The platform also warned of legal action against any party interfering with its contractual rights. Drishyam 3, directed by Jeethu Joseph, was initially scheduled for release on April 2 but has been postponed to May 21 due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East.

Aamir Khan’s last outing as an actor, Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna, hit theatres on June 20, 2025, and received positive reviews. The sports comedy drama also features Genelia Deshmukh in a key role.

The film has now made its OTT debut, with Sony LIV beginning to stream it from today. Interestingly, the movie is available not just in Hindi, but also in Telugu and Tamil. Prior to this, it was released on YouTube under a pay per view model.

Sitaare Zameen Par is based on the acclaimed 2018 Spanish sports drama Champions. The film is jointly produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with music composed by the celebrated trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy. Stay tuned for more OTT updates.

Actor Sree Vishnu had a packed phase with back to back releases this year. His romantic comedy Vishnu Vinyasam released on February 27, 2026, followed closely by the crime action thriller Mrithyunjay, which arrived in theatres on March 6, 2026.

Directed by Hussain Sha Kiran, Mrithyunjay has now made its way to OTT. Netflix is streaming the film in Telugu along with Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, expanding its reach beyond regional audiences.

The film opened to a mixed response in theatres, and the focus has now shifted to its digital run, where it is expected to find better acceptance among a wider audience.

Alongside Sree Vishnu, the film features Reba Monica John, Sudharshan, Racha Ravi, Ayyappa Sharma, and Baby Uha in key roles. The film is produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Vinay Chilakapati under Light Box Media and Picture Perfect Entertainment, with music composed by Kaala Bhairava.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar makes her debut as a director with S Saraswathi, in which she also plays the lead role. The film, earlier titled Saraswathi, released in theatres on March 6, 2026, and received a mediocre response.

Following its theatrical run, the film has now made its way to Amazon Prime Video. It is currently available only in Telugu, with the possibility of more language versions being added later.

Alongside Varalaxmi, the film features Prakash Raj, Priya Mani, Kishore, Rao Ramesh, Jiiva, Murali Sharma and Radikaa Sarathkumar in key roles. The project is backed by Pooja Sarathkumar and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, with music composed by S. Thaman. With its OTT arrival, it remains to be seen how the film resonates with viewers this time.

Sampradayini Suppini Suddapusani (SSS) is a dark crime comedy that was originally meant to be an OTT release (on ETV Win) but later shifted gears and was released in cinemas. Sivaji and Laya are the main leads in this movie directed by Sudheer Sreeram.

While many expected the film to release on ETV Win, as initially announced, it has instead arrived on Netflix for streaming, where it is available not only in Telugu but also in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, expanding its reach beyond Telugu speaking audiences. The crime thriller underperformed during its theatrical run, and the focus has now shifted to its OTT reception.

Master Rohan, Prince Cecil, Dhanraj, and others played key roles in this movie, produced by the lead hero Sivaji under his home banner. Ranjin Raj provided the soundtrack.

Youth is a recent smash hit in Tamil and received a decent response in Telugu. The coming-of-age film stars Ken Karunas in the lead, who also directs the project, with Anishma Anilkumar, Priyanshi Yadav, and Meenakshi Dinesh as the female leads.

The film has crossed the Rs. 50 crore mark in Tamil alone and is now back in the headlines due to its OTT release plans. As per the latest buzz, it is likely to stream on Netflix on April 17, 2026, in all major Indian languages. However, there has been no official confirmation from the makers or the OTT platform yet.

Devadarshini, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and others play key roles in the film, which is produced by Aruppiah C. Ram and Sulochana Kumar under the banners Paarvathaa Entertainments and Street Boy Studios. The music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.

Euphoria is a recent Telugu film starring Sara Arjun, known for Dhurandhar, in the lead role. Gunasekhar directs this A-rated social drama, which has now made its way to OTT.

The film is currently streaming on ETV Win. Although Euphoria was appreciated for its content during its theatrical run, it did not perform well commercially. Its OTT release now offers the film a second chance to find a wider audience.

The big-budget Hollywood thriller Crime 101 has officially started streaming in India on Amazon Prime Video from today. The film grabs instant attention with its star power, featuring Avengers fame actor Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo, along with former Bond girl Halle Berry.

Crime 101 revolves around a series of high-value jewel thefts and the investigation that follows, unfolding as a tense cat-and-mouse chase.
