April 2026

After a short theatrical window, Thanga Natchathiram (TN 2026) has quietly arrived on OTT today, April 30, 2026, catching many by surprise. The film has skipped the usual wait and is now available for streaming across platforms.

Breaking away from the standard single deal format, the makers have released it simultaneously on Amazon Prime Video, Aha, Shortflix, AP International, and Simply South for overseas viewers. The move opens the film up to a wider audience right away.

At its core, the film leans more into a political drama space rather than outright satire, following a film star played by Natty Subramaniam who steps into politics. While it carries a few satirical touches, the narrative largely stays grounded in drama and character driven moments.

Directed by Umapathy Ramaiah and produced by Kannan Ravi, the film is based on a story by Thambi Ramaiah. The technical side is handled by composer Darbuka Siva, cinematographer P. G. Muthiah, and editor Arul R. Thangam.

The supporting cast includes M. S. Bhaskar, Ilavarasu, and Thambi Ramaiah, along with Yashika Aannand, Redin Kingsley, and John Vijay in key roles.

The film’s political angle triggered discussion during its theatrical run, with some viewers drawing parallels to Vijay and his real life political entry. The makers, however, have maintained that the story is fictional and not based on any individual.

Peddi has quickly become one of the hottest talking points this summer, and the film is now at the center of a crucial release date discussion. The postponement of Toxic from June 4, 2026, has opened up a prime box office window. With no major release currently occupying that slot, the stage is perfectly set for a strong contender to step in.

Peddi, which has already locked June 25, 2026, is now being seen as the ideal film to grab this opportunity. Its current date puts it in direct competition with Lenin on June 26, but a shift to June 4 could give it a clear solo run and a massive advantage.

A key update adding to the excitement is that the film’s shoot is set to conclude today. With production wrapping up and enough time left for post production and promotions, the film is in a solid position to make a bold release move.

The buzz around a possible preponement is growing stronger by the day, and fans are actively rooting for the makers to take that call. Social media is already filled with discussions, with many believing that June 4 is the perfect date for Peddi to arrive and dominate the box office. While there is no official confirmation yet, all eyes are now on the much awaited announcement.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is a high energy rural sports drama featuring Janhvi Kapoor, Shruti Haasan in a special appearance, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu Sharma, and Boman Irani in key roles. With music by A. R. Rahman and production by Vriddhi Cinemas, the film carries strong expectations across markets.

If the makers make the move, Peddi could be looking at a perfect box office window and a massive opening backed by strong fan support.

Karisma Kapoor recently grabbed attention with a candid moment at a public event, where she was heard telling photographers, “Zyaada zoom mat karna,” urging them not to zoom excessively from behind.

The remark, though said lightly, has sparked a wider conversation about paparazzi boundaries. In recent times, many celebrities have raised concerns over how paps use advanced camera technology to capture intrusive angles, often crossing the line of privacy and comfort.

Karisma’s comment highlights this growing issue, as actors increasingly feel the need to call out such practices in real time. The incident has now gone viral, with fans and industry observers discussing the ethics of celebrity photography.

Many believe that while public figures understand media attention is part of their profession, there still needs to be a basic level of respect and restraint.

The third and final part of the iconic Drishyam franchise headlined by Mohanlal and created by Jeethu Joseph will hit the big screens on May 21. A few hours ago, the team dropped the teaser.

In an interactive session on Instagram, Jeethu Joseph revealed that the Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada dubbed versions of Drishyam 3 will have a simultaneous release on May 21 alongside the Malayalam version.

Since Venkatesh is busy with other projects, the Telugu remake is ruled out, and hence, the makers of the original version are looking to make the most of the opportunity.

Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, Drishyam 3 also stars Meena, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil in pivotal roles. Anil Johnson is the music composer.
