Back in December 2025, JioHotstar announced a massive slate of upcoming originals, and one of the most anticipated projects among them was the gritty crime thriller Lingam. Directed by Lakshmi Saravanakumar, the series features a talented ensemble cast including Kathir, Divya Bharathi, Poornima Ravi, and Sathya in pivotal roles.
The Tamil original is now back in the spotlight, as JioHotstar has officially revealed its streaming date. The platform announced that Lingam will premiere on June 26, 2026. While only the Tamil version has been confirmed so far, the series is expected to be released in Telugu and other languages as well.
The narrative is said to be loosely inspired by real-life criminal incidents that took place in Kanyakumari. Acclaimed filmmaker Prasanth Pandiyaraj, best known for the hit series Vilangu, is serving as the presenter. More promotional material and details regarding the dubbed versions are expected to be unveiled as the premiere date approaches.
