The wait is almost over! Rishab Shetty’s much-anticipated mythical drama Kantara: Chapter 1 is gearing up for a grand release on October 2, 2025. Rishab not only plays the lead but has also directed the film, with Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead.
The team is back in Telugu states for promotions, and today’s stop is Vijayawada. All eyes are on Rishab’s speech after he faced criticism at the recent Telugu pre-release event for speaking entirely in Kannada. With Rukmini joining him on stage this time, fans are curious to see how he addresses the crowd.
Along with the lead pair, the film also stars Jayaram, Gulshan Devaiah, Pramod Shetty and others in key roles. Backed by Hombale Films, Kantara: Chapter 1 features music by Ajaneesh Lokanath.
Mahakali is a brand-new Telugu superhero film that is making waves even before its release. Written by Prasanth Varma and directed by Puja Aparna Kolluru, the film promises a blend of mythology and modern superhero action.

The star hero loved the film and made a lengthy post about it, calling it a brilliantly made underworld gangster film on par with Hollywood standards.
Chiranjeevi lauded Pawan Kalyan, stating, “Felt so proud watching Kalyan Babu on screen. He made the film stand out with his swag and gave the fans the proper feast they’ve been waiting for.”
Chiranjeevi also praised Thaman for his excellent background score and Ravi K. Chandran for the great visuals. OG is nearing the Rs 150 crore share mark and is a smash hit at the box office.
